Homes for Homes
Home for Homes is a promise to help end homelessness.
Every night 116,000 people in Australia sleep homeless, while another 1.5 million live in serious housing stress. Homes for Homes is a simple promise that whenever a home sells, 0.1% of the sale price will be donated—helping build homes for those in need.
This issue is too big for any one person, business or government to solve alone. But together, we have a simple community empowered solution to a seemingly insurmountable problem. It’s a promise to help end homelessness.
As the operator of the land title registry, we’re perfectly placed to support this goal, by ensuring the process is simple and easy, and making sure the public know about the opportunity to get involved. |

Our volunteering program with The Big Issue
Our partnership with Homes for Home, means that we are fortunate enough to work alongside their affiliate organisation The Big Issue – a community not-for-profit dedicated to supporting and creating work opportunities for people experiencing homelessness, marginalisation and disadvantage.
Their programs provide low-barrier opportunities for people to earn a meaningful income, build their confidence and connect with their community and support networks.
This opportunity enables us to directly assist and support some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our society. Our teams can volunteer their time and support various events like their Community Street Soccer Program and Vendor Breakfasts.

Code Like a Girl
Code Like a Girl is a social enterprise providing girls and women the confidence, tools, knowledge and support to enter, and flourish, in the world of coding.
NSW LRS’ has recently become an Intern Partner, where we will work together to source great candidates, grow the number of women in the tech industry, and create a world that is more empathetic, innovative and equal.
We know that it’s not enough to have more women using tech – we need more women building tech. There are so many reasons why, but the most important is so that the world we live in can be equally enjoyed by everyone.
We will continue to foster our partnership with Code like a Girl in support of our strong commitments to gender diversity and equity, both within NSW LRS and in the technology industry. |
