About Us

NSW Land Registry Services operates the NSW land titles registry for the State Government and the people of New South Wales. The land titles registry underpins the state’s secure, efficient and guaranteed system of land ownership.

We create and maintain land titles information and sell land information products and services.

The community, business and government rely on this information for a variety of purposes including land management, conveyancing, property development, investment, local planning, state economic and social development and historical research.

About Us tabs
Our Mission Icon

Who We Are

NSW Land Registry Services is a private company that operates the land titles registry on behalf of the NSW Government under a 35-year concession that took effect on 1 July 2017.

We operate under the business name NSW Land Registry Services.

Since the concession took effect, NSW Land Registry Services has improved service outcomes for customers, invested to enhance the security of the register and enabled digital innovation in the conveyancing and surveying sectors.

Our Acknowledgement of Country

NSW Land Registry Services (NSW LRS) acknowledges the original custodians of the lands and waters that we work on and with - across the many and diverse nations of NSW.

We acknowledge the lands of the Gadigal people, of the Eora Nation, on which our head office is located. We pay our respects to elders, past and present and extend our respect to any First Nations people here with us today.

As the custodians of NSW land information, we thank those that have cared for country and who continue to care for country; We recognise that we must learn more about our shared history, so we may grow together and enrich our understanding; and we look to the future to contribute to the reconciliation envisaged in the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

The above artwork was commissioned as part of our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) – beginning our journey of national reconciliation through reflection and connection with First Nations people, cultures and voices.

This palette represents the Land, Seas and Skies. The various elements throughout this artwork represent the complexity of who we are as people and how we come together to work towards a common goal within an organisation and share a common purpose.

It recognises that we are all interconnected, the same way in which the land and sea are intertwined. The recurring message throughout this artwork is that we are stronger together.

We are striving to create positive impact through our commitments to diversity and inclusion, national reconciliation, sustainability and social partnerships. We believe that by working together with our employees, partners, customers and community members, we can achieve meaningful and lasting change. DIBE

Diversity & Inclusion at NSW LRS

At NSW LRS, we look at Diversity & Inclusion as an opportunity to create and foster a welcoming, connected, and fair place to work.

Our Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging & Equity (DIBE) Strategy is a commitment to our people, our customers, and our community. We hope to inspire change and continue making LRS such a great place to work. We acknowledge that this is a continual journey, a ‘must have’, where we feel privileged to create and foster a culture that our people and our community is proud of.

RAP

Reconciliation and our RAP

As the trusted holders of land and titling information in NSW, it’s only right that we should have a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). We believe we are uniquely positioned to highlight the connection First Nations people have with land, water and country.

Right now, we’re progressing in our reconciliation journey, having committed to our first RAP in 2022, and we’re building our awareness, respect and recognition of First Nations cultures.

Sustainability_

Environment and Sustainability

We’re doing our bit to tackle climate change, striving to operate sustainably, be an industry leader and set a great example for our peers.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impacts, both in our operations and in our supply chains. We have set ourselves ambitious targets for climate action, through the reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions, striving towards Net Zero well ahead of the Paris Agreement’s 2050 target.

Partnerships

Our Partnerships

We are proud to partner with other like-minded organisations to achieve shared goals. Through our partnerships, we have been able to amplify our impact and make a greater difference in the community.

We play a central role in helping people realise their dreams of home ownership. And our technology focus can provide opportunity for underrepresented groups. So, it was natural for us to partner with community not-for-profit Homes for Homes and Code Like a Girl.

Our Commitments

We show this commitment by encouraging improvements and innovation and investing in technology to increase our efficiency and deliver reliable service to our customers.
