NSW Land Registry Services (NSW LRS) has launched its new Digital Plan Validation Service, which assists surveyors to identify and eliminate issues that can delay the registration of digital plans.
The Digital Plan Validation Service allows surveyors to check digital plans online for compliance with over 20 surveying rules, regulations, and requirements by uploading LandXML files into ePlan, the electronic plan lodgment and validation system.
The new validation service:
- Checks plans against the 2017 regulation variations
- Confirms that plans meet MGA2020 requirements, and
- Enhances several service features to deliver better results, including irregular line miscloses and areas.
Users can access the ePlan Digital Plan Validation Service through the NSW LRS Online Portal.
NSW LRS encourages all users to contact the Digital Plans team (details below) with any issues and feedback on the new service.
Further enhancements and features will be added to the Digital Plan Validation Service during 2020, which will continue to run in tandem with the old service until it is decommissioned on 30 June 2020.
LandXML Recipe (version 9.1) and Schema (version 4.0) now apply
NSW LRS reminds surveyors that plans created in 2020 must use the new schema (version 4.0) which was released in July 2019.
